The telescopic gauges work as expected. Metal seems in good condition but this review is only after a couple of weeks. The spring action for most is very good. One small negative is when I opened them the spring on one of the gauges was a little stuck so it wouldn''t pop out. I think there was too much oil (weird to say this) in them. After pushing it in and out a few times and wiping away the excess oil it got a bit better.
