I bough this to help with restoration of a classic Beetle cabrio, which has lots of lovely old chrome and alloy parts on the handmade Karmann conversion that need saving wherever possible. The grinder is quite small but powerful, with an infinitely variable speed. This means it does the job well, without taking up too much bench space. The handheld extension is a great feature for cleaning hard to get areas. All in all, very happy with my purchase.
