I have used this Silverline Soldering iron a lot, it''s excellent value for money, well made, and works very well. I have had other irons of various makes and this is easily as good as those, it heats up well and feels good in the hand. To go with the Silverline Soldering iron, I also bought a set of Silverline spare tips which are also excellent value for money. I highly recommend both of these products.

I had a soldering iron that was really poor so decided to upgrade and bought this one , its really good but with it been 60w it get very hot and if not carefull can melt the plastic of the wires , in hindsight its too powerfull for my needs , a variable heat control on it would be good on it . but as it goes its usable with care for small jobs , other than me buying something too powerfull its solid and heats up quick , its really for more robust and larger solding projects
